WoW's Shaman is a class that requires a bit of skill, but rewards that skill with a great deal of versatility.
You can be a whirlwind of death, a bolt-lobber of doom, or an excellent healer. Get the Dual Spec ability (at 30) from your trainer and you'll be able to switch between two builds.
To get your Shaman leveled quickly, check out the...

Cataclysm Protection Warrior Guide
The Protection Warrior is the prototypical dungeon/raid tank. She has all the tools to manage threat and keep the raid together.
This page covers race choice for tanking Warriors, professions choices, gems, enchants, tanking rotations, and a full raid build.
If you want to PvP, then go Arms, but for PvE Tanking, Prot Warriors hold their own with anyone.

Warlock Leveling Guide for cataclysm
Warlocks are a nice combination of damage and survivability. Much like Hunters with spells, 'locks can set their pets on the opposition and them burn their opponents down with direct damage spells and DoTs.
Here's an Affliction leveling build, with notes on races, professions, glyphs, and more.

You're the master of demons and your spells range from those that destroy the soul to others that rain fire upon the helpless heads of your victims.

The Feral Druid Guide
The Feral Druid is one of the more versatile specs in WoW. You can do everything that a Rogue can do, your shapeshifting breaks you free of roots, you can heal, and (with the right talents) you move faster than any other melee class. Why play anything else?

Fury Warrior 4.1 patch notes
4.1 Patch Notes
As of this writing the launch date for 4.1 is not known. See all the PTR patch notes here
- Charge and Intercept no longer have diminishing returns on their stun effects.
- Colossus Smash now ignores 50% of a hostile player's armor (PvP), but continues to ignore 100% of a non-player character's armor (PvE).
- Heroic Throw is now available from trainers at level 20.
- Heroic Leap is no longer on the global cooldown, similar to other warrior movement abilities.
- Inner Rage is now available at level 56.
- Intercept now has a 1.5-second stun, down from 3 seconds.
- Pummel is now usable in all stances.
- Rallying Cry (new ability) is available from trainers at level 83. It temporarily grants the warrior and all party or raid members within 30 yards 20% of maximum health for 10 seconds. After the effect expires, the health is lost. It has no cost, no stance requirements, and is not on the global cooldown. It has a 3-minute cooldown, but also shares a cooldown with Last Stand.
- Shield Bash has been removed from the game.
- Spell Reflection cooldown has been increased to 25 seconds, up from 10.
- Whirlwind now has its cooldown reduced by 6 seconds when it deals damage to 4 or more targets.
- The Whirlwind effect caused by Bladestorm remains unchanged.
Fury
- Precision (passive) now increases auto-attack damage by 40%, in addition to the 3% hit it offers currently.
- Unshackled Fury now only grants 2 base points of mastery, down from 8.

Warrior Leveling Guide for Cataclysm
Warriors are one of my favorite classes to level and they provide the fun gaming style of non-stop death-dealing combined with a decent overall leveling speed that can come in narrowly behind rogues and hunters, if done correctly.
Warriors do need to be geared well at all times, perhaps more than most classes, but Auction House gear will serve you well. Keep your weapons updated and you will level quickly enough.
Then you charge, main, rend, mutilate, crush, kill, and destroy the opposition. At higher levels you become a whirlwind of death, what's not to like? PvP, raiding, you can do it all and you'll be doing it with two 2-handed weapons. You're not a tank, your job is to crash into the enemy and destroy them.
